The Incubator

ilab membership is a full package of services designed to provide the practical support, guidance and inspiration which new start-ups need to get off the ground. Membership typically lasts for a period of 1-2 years, and includes:

  • A dedicated and experienced ilab staff member to support you throughout your time at the incubator. They’re on hand to help you with issues such as business strategy, sales, funding strategy and grant applications.
  • Access to a deep network of contacts who can help get you off the ground.
  • Mentoring via a panel of experienced entrepreneurs drawn from ilab’s mentor network.
  • Assistance with access to government grants, such as Commercialisation Australia.
  • Opportunities to engage UQ postgraduate students as interns to work within your company.
  • Training sessions, seminars and networking events.
  • Referrals to service providers (legal, finance, marketing, sales etc) who understand start-ups and can tailor their services to your needs.
  • Access to flexible office space if you need it (this is optional and not a requirement for membership).
